1st Quarter 2014

The monthly coffee hour and birthday celebration for the month of February was held on 15th. The White family sponsored the event and served some very delicious breakfast dishes including homemade sticky buns that were enjoyed by the 36 people that attended.

The Catholic Daughters donated an Alabasterite Rosary to St. Paul's, during the Mass on Sunday, February 2nd. Below are the remarks that were made by Socorro Marin for the presentation.

I don’t think there is anyone here that didn’t know and love one of St. Paul’s most devoted “prayer warriors,” Helena Dirig. Helena’s devotion to our Blessed Mother was evident by her daily and frequent praying of the Rosary.

Helena had been a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Daughters Court St. Mary since 1944. When she passed away last July, our court decided that we wanted to do something special in her honor. Because of her steadfast devotion to the Rosary we decided to donate this beautiful Alabasterite Rosary in her name.

Today we ask Fr Chris to bless this Rosary and we place it at Our Lady’s feet in her honor.

May this Rosary always serve as a reminder of our dear friend Helena and the strong, unrelenting faith that she exemplified to us all.

Each  year St. Paul's has its own Souper Bowl to celebrate the NFL's Super Bowl. The difference is that the parishioners vote for their favorite team by dropping a monetary donation into pots set up for each of the two teams that have made it to the Super Bowl. The money raised will help our local Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. It's 6PM on Super Bowl Sunday, by the looks of the amount of money that was put into the pots, it's the Denver Bronco's winning the game by two touchdowns.
St. Paul's monthly coffee hour and birthday celebrations took place after the 9AM Mass on Sunday, January 26th.
