PARISH HAPPENINGS
3rd Quarter 2014

On September 7th, St. Paul's held their Annual Parish Picnic at Fireman's Park where in conjunction with the picnic, the summer birthdays were celebrated. The drawing for our annual raffle also took place with: First prize going to Andrea Robinson, Second was the Schild Family, and third went to Joan Stevenson. The picnic was a pot luck affair and the number and variety of dishes was more than one could possibly sample..

A special Vacation Bible School Night themed, I'm Playing on God's Team was held at Saint Paul's in combination with the Emory United Methodist Church on August 5, 2014. The evening was attended by fans of all ages.

Father Rausch Hall was transformed into a baseball stadium and everyone that participated was drafted into the teams that were playing the games for the evening "The Angels or The Holy Soxs". Both teams had equal amount of playing time and enjoyed A Bible Story by Pastor Roxy Moses. Our Cheerleading Coach Robin Evanitsky kept the fans excited during the game, and a Pennant and a Mega Phone were the crafts for the evening under the direction of Mrs. Barbara Rotzler.  Both of which the children were very proud of their individualized project.

A seventh-inning stretch guest Mark White sang " God Bless America" for the fans. And the evening ended with ice cream sundaes with a topping of their choice.  The evening was a lot of fun for all. Both teams did a great job and of course we were all winners because we were all playing on God's Team.

Thank you to all who worked so hard to provide our youngsters with such a wonderful  experience.
