Sacrament of Reconciliation
Sat. before the Vigil Mass 3 to 3:45 PM
Other times by appointment

Sacrament of Baptism
Because of the importance of the celebration of the sacrament of baptism, please consider carefully the man or woman of faith you chose to inspire and educate your child in the ways of our faith for the entirety of their lives. We suggest calling the church office during your pregnancy so that a more thorough preparation may take place. Godparents must be practicing Catholics and submit a certificate of eligibility from their parish prior to the Baptism. Baptisms will normally take place at a parish weekend Mass. Date and time will be scheduled by the pastor.

Sacrament of Matrimony

For adequate preparation, arrangements should be made at least 6 months in advance.

Sacrament of Anointing
Please let the parish office know if someone is seriously ill. If you know of anyone who is unable to get to Mass, we would be glad to help arrange transportation.

Low gluten
Those suffering from an intolerance to gluten are advised that St. Paul’s keeps Low Gluten Hosts on hand for those who need them. Simply check in with an usher to arrange for one.

 TAKE NOTE

Next month's “The Word Among Us” has been placed out at the entrances. If this resource is found valuable, please considering off setting the cost to the parish. The suggested donation is $1/copy, as is marked on the envelopes provided.

Join us on Tuesday for “The Way” starring Martin Sheen, 7:00 PM at the Hancock Cinemas. This film is about “The Camino”, the ancient pilgrimage route from France across Northern Spain to the tomb of St. James (Santiago de Compostella). Though this is a drama, there is also a documentary available on Netflix about the Camino, called “Footprints”.

Those who would like to arrange for flowers in the Church, such as in front of the Blessed Mother or the Sacred Heart of Jesus altars, in memory of a loved one, are asked to schedule it with the office, so that we do not accidentally overbook flowers. Also, if someone would like to request an intention for a week, for the candles that burn weekly at the Mary and Jesus altars, please also contact the office. The memorial for the flowers and prayer intentions for the candles will be printed in the bulletin. * * * Many dioceses right here in the United States do not have enough priests and trained lay ministers to serve their parishes. These dioceses are known as home missions. They struggle to fund basic and essential pastoral works such as parish faith formation, priestly and religious formation, lay ministry training, and evangelization; and are unable to attend to the needs that are unique to the communities they serve. With your support, the Catholic Home Missions Appeal helps ease the struggle and form vibrant faith communities

St. Paul’s is again this year asking for donations of schools supplies of any kind. They can be dropped off in the church during the day.
                                                                     * * *
The flowers this weekend in front of the Blessed Mother were donated by the DeSerio Family in memory of their parents, Effie and Joe DeSerio on the occasion of their one hundredth birthday anniversaries.

TAKE NOTE

Unbound” Update, Part 2: Unbound is an organization that helps individuals in third world countries gain access to education, nutrition, at times medical care and personal items that help them and their families to gain access to a better life. We at St. Paul the Apostle church are currently supporting through contributions two individuals, one from Honduras and one from the Philippines. We provide through letters and our donation encouragement to the individual and their families. Our second young lady is Glea Aguelo Tagumpay, age 12 who is living in the Philippines. She is 12 years old and reports she loves dancing and her studies especially Filipino. Glea reports she is very grateful for our financial support. Glea reports without our help she would not be able to receive her education.

At home Glea washes dishes in order to help her mother. Glea is able to live at home with her parents and her father's wages help to support the family but he has no fixed income as a seasonal worker.
There are 10 living in this home. The walls are constructed of bamboo and cement. The roof
is made of nipa thatches, and the floor is cement. It has electricity and they use wood for cooking.
They fetch their water from a community well, (just like our Blessed Lady did), and Glea sleeps on a mat on the floor. Without the help of Unbound these children and their families, would not have the
advantages they now utilize. Education, nutrition, as well as medical and dental care when available is given. Both children write to us thanking us personally for our help and thanking our Good God for the people at St Paul the Apostle Church.
Thanks,
Cathy Haugen
