Hereís a picture of our church this week with half the roof taken off! St. Paulís church is more than 100 years old and some of the wood upstairs was starting to break, so we had to take off the old roof and put on a new one. The men who do this work really know what they are doing. And this costs a lot of money! But itís very important to a lot of the people who come here. They want to have a church here for another 100 years!

This picture shows how the workmen used a special lift to place the many pieces of lumber that make up the roof into their  proper places.

When all the lumber is in place the roof will be covered with what are called shingles. This special covering will keep all the rain and snow from coming inside the church, just like the roof on your house.
